Why is my computer slow?

New PCs run fast, but then they slow down and suffer errors.

Computers slow down because of the windows registry. Internal corruptions hamper computing power, resulting in system-wide errors. Programs slow down, send error alerts and freeze up. Online interfaces suffer errors, browser speeds slow, media won't play and a once proficient PC system is transformed into a slow, buggy machine.

What can I do to reverse PC SlowDown?

To reverse system deterioration, tune up the registry

Computer retailers don't want you to know that many PC problems can be fixed by simply cleaning the registry. That's because they know that registry corruption is brought about by daily use. In other words, corruption is inevitable, but losing the performance of your system, isn't. It just takes the right tool for the job.

Designed for Windows 98/ME/XP/2000 & VISTA

If a system runs a Windows™ Operating System then it relies on a registry to keep is internal workings organized. The registry holds thousands of in-line commands, vital to the proficient and reliable function of a PC.

What is the Windows registry?

The registry is a complicated data center housed in your PC's hard-drive. It orchestrates the various permissions and schedules on your machine, as well as resource allocations. This means that the registry acts like the computer's director. It tells programs where to find resources, when and where to find updates and how to implement them. It also mediates the link between hardware and software, between user settings and user display, and between browser plug-ins and online content.

How does the Registry suffer errors?

The Registry suffers errors through day to day use. The big secret that retails don't want you to know about: Computers are designed to slow down. Because the registry integrates your system on every level, any changes done to the system's general organization has the potential to cause problems. Installing and un installing programs, implementing updates and altering user settings can enact alterations. Normally these processes go right, but sometimes they overwrite existing data without replacing it, leaving duplication. Other times, the changes disrupt links between programs and resources.

What are the Signs of Registry Corruption?

Chances are, you're already familiar with the signs of registry corruption, you just didn't know they had a common source. Registry corruption, duplication and resource mis-allocation leads to un-clear signals. Without clarity, programs can't function. They crash, slow down and eventually the whole computer starts to display error messages and freeze up. All of this is happening because the programs try to do something but don't know how. They get conflicting signals from the registry and, in turn, display error messages when they get stumped. Over time, compounding corruption leads to computer crashes and browser slowdown.

Symptoms that your Registry is Corrupted: Things that Cause a Registry to become Corrupted:
• Slow PC performance
• System freezing
• Hardware malfunctions

What does PCTuneUp do?

PCTuneUp works by addressing the registry as the heart of PC slowdown. It analyzes the registry, assessing individual entries and isolating those that show corruption. PCTuneUp scans the entry in two ways. One is a duplication and dropped-link assessment. If the entry is doubled or constitutes a broken link, PCTuneUp's smart scan technology flags it. Another way is the on-board error database. PCTuneUp comes equipped with a pre-laoded list of known errors. When it finds an error, it marks it for removal.

Can I fix the Registry by hand?

Anyone can edit the registry, but traditionally tech supporters warn against doing so because the registry has no built-in safeguards. There's no recycle bin and no automatic backup system. PCTuneUp gives you the security and protection that your computer doesn't, all while doing in minutes what it would take a tech hours to do!

With automatic registry backups, optional restore-point snapshots and integrated smart-scan cleaning, PCTuneUp smooths out the rough corners to PC repair. It does all of the work itself, so that all you have to do is click a button, sit back, and enjoy your regained power and speed.
